Description:
This is a non-operational park. This means that there are no facilities and there are zero amenities. So, no toilets.
The road is not overly well maintained and is fairly narrow but if you have a decent vehicle that can handle the back roads, you will be fine.
If you are heading to Jowsey Lake, it is not that far off the highway (about 5 minutes from the highway). There is a little place where you could launch a canoe or small boat on the right side of the road about 7 km from the highway.
If you are headed to Dana Lake, be prepared for a slightly longer drive (about 12 minutes from the highway) as the boat launch area is about 8 km from the highway, Be super careful about trying to drive on the sandy area between the road and the lake. It is best to park on the side of the road rather than risk the possibility of sinking into the sand with your vehicle. (I say this from experience). Who knows how long a tow truck would take to find you out there.
It's a nice little place to get out and explore. It's a little out of the way but definitely beautiful and rugged.

Location: Just over 30 km west of Timmins there is a side road on the right side of the highway. There are no signs indicating that it is a provincial park. The only sign you will see to let you know you are in the right place is a blue and white boat launch sign. The GPS for Google Maps seems to work well here and can be trusted, for the most part, for navigation.
