Terrain: An expansive Boreal Forest sitting on the shores of a warm, shallow lake with a long sandy beach. There are plenty of mixed deciduous
and coniferous trees that provide plenty of shade along the hiking trails that take you through ancient glacial landscapes with kettle lakes
and eskers. A particularly fascinating feature of this park is a quaking bog that moves beneath your feet as you walk on it.
Staff: Personable and pleasant
Bathrooms: Clean, vault toilets with little solar lights near the doors so that you can see them in the dark.
Shower: Yes, there are showers at the two comfort stations located centrally in each campground. Hot water. Clean. Good water pressure.
Beach: A long, beautiful sandy beach that is not over crowded and has plenty of picnic tables. It also boasts a toy lending center with brand new
beach toys for kids to play with. Across the road from the beach is a comfort station and a book lending library.
Outdoor Water Faucets: One water station in each campground section with a hose and a pump house containing potable water. Multiple other
water taps that have water but is not fit for drinking and would need to be boiled or filtered first..
Hiking Trails:
Saw Lake Trail – 2.8 km loop, moderate to difficult
This trail leads up and over beautiful esker ridges and continues along the shores of serene Saw Lake, a small glacier lake with Brook Trout. Be sure to bring your camera as the waters here gleam a greenish hue on a sunny summer’s day.
Quaking Bog Trail – 0.8 km, easy
A short but worthy trail for hikers that takes you along a path that was once at the bottom of Ivanhoe Lake. Interpretive panels located along its path bring to light some of these features as well as a viewing platform overlooking a rare quaking bog.
Teck Lake Trail – 1 km, moderate
This trail is a peaceful, solitary walk for those who venture through its mature boreal forest before coming to rest at tranquil Teck Lake. Here you can discover a small kettle lake formed by glaciers and stocked with Brook Trout. Like Saw Lake, the waters here also gleam green on a sunny summer’s day.
The Esker Trail – 8 km, moderate to difficult
Hikers can trek along one of the most accessible and representative eskers in Ontario. If you feel like a scenic walk with panoramic views, follow a small gravel road which takes you up above the tree tops providing views of green-hued kettle lakes, mature stands of forest, abundant wildlife and the most spectacular view of Ivanhoe Lake anywhere in the park. There are also a couple of side trails that will take you to the solitude of Axe and Canyon Lakes. For the safety of all trail users, the use of motorized vehicles is prohibited during the months of July and August.

Pet Amenities: The pet beach is located in between Le Rivage Campground and La Baie Campground. Dogs can swim and can be walked there
without a leash. There is a pet toy lending library there for the dogs with all sorts of chew toys and sticks for the dogs to choose
from. There are plenty of picnic tables for their human companions to sit at while they play. One of the best pet beaches I have
seen.

Park Store: The park store is located at the gatehouse. It offers snacks, toys, books, firewood, ice and souvenirs
Rentals: Canoes, kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, motorboats, and fishing rods can be rented from the park store. Personal floatation devices
