Blog Entries:  Bass Lake - September 2013
Terrain - Hilly, lots of slopes, most sites close to Bass Lake  Side Road and within hearing and site of passing vehicles, thick trees so not a whole               lot of sunshine.

Staff -  Non-existent on weekdays after the Labour Day Weekend, so you can't buy firewood at that time. Payments at that time made via                          depositing cash into envelope and placing in slot in door. 

Bathrooms - 2 comfort stations (flush toilets/ running water) Not well maintained, no hot water in the comfort station sinks

Showers - 2

Beach - small

Out Door Water Faucets - Signs indicate places where there should be one but it doesn't actually exist.

Hiking Trails - Water View Trail (3km - 1hr)  - From the beach parking lot the first half kilometer is paved and wheel chair accessible
                     - Edgar Walker Trail

Pet Amenities - None

Playground - swings
                   - horseshoe pits

Park Store - Located In the main office and features a variety of souvenirs (The T-shirts are way over priced though). There are no groceries                                  available at this store. 

Boat/Canoe  Rentals -  They offer canoes, paddle boats and kayaks for rent on a first-come first-served basis from the end of June to Labour Day.
                                        A security deposit is required, (charged to a credit card with each rental) and you must be a minimum of 16 years of age to
                                       rent a boat. Each rental comes with all necessary equipment including Personal Floatation Devices, emergency kits and
                                       oars.They 
 also offer a Personal Floatation Device (PFD) loaner program where you can rent a PFD for a refundable $30.00
                                      deposit for each jacket. PFDs are available at the Registration Office or  Park Store.

5km West of Orillia off Hwy 12W, turn left at Line 15 and follow Provincial Park signs to 2540 Bass Lake Sideroad

Signs For Directions  To Park - Hard to see and hard to find until you are right on Bass Lake Side Road.
