Operating Dates: 

May 9, 2014 to October 14, 2014
Blog Entries:  Fitzroy In The Fall - October 2014
Terrain:  Plenty of large beautiful oak trees and white pines. Good balance of sun and shade areas. Gorgeous in the fall.                

Staff:   Even in October there was staff on site and they were very friendly and personable 

Bathrooms:   Not so clean, full of bugs and spiders and was in a bit of a state of disrepair . 

Shower:  Small, and unimpressive. 

Beach: 2 roped in sandy beaches

Outdoor Water Faucets:   Water is good to drink but faucets weren't the easiest to find 

Hiking Trails:    2 trails  - Carp Trail, 1 km, easy and Terraces Trail - 2 km, moderate

Pet Amenities:  none that we noticed

Playground:  yes, down by the beach

Park Store: The park store offers groceries, firewood,  snacks, camping supplies, souvenirs and  ice cream.

​Boat/Canoe  Rentals:  Canoe/kayak rentals are available at the park store.

Directions:

Exit Hwy 417 (exit ramp 180) to Carp Road north and go about 25 km to Galetta Side Road. Right to Canon Smith Dr. Left about 2km. Watch for park sign to the left.

Signs For Directions  To Park - Easy to see  and conveniently located off of  Highway 417 (Queen's Way)
