Here is a list of all the parks we have visited and a review on each. We used to rate them on a scale of one to five but thanks to a suggestion from one of our readers (Thanks Larry W.!) we have now changed the rating system to a ten star rating system in order to give you a better insight as to what to expect. Keep in mind that one person's idea of "paradise", may not necessarily be the same as someone else's. Some are looking for peace and quiet, while others are looking for a place to keep their kids or pets entertained. We scored higher on the parks that offered more variety for people (such as playgrounds for kids, amenities for those needing wheel chairs or with other disabilities, interesting and unusual things to see, amenities for pets, and that sort of thing). If your idea of paradise is none of those things and you just want solitude, then don't rule out the parks labeled "rather basic". They are nice enough, but they just don't have much in the way of extras to offer you. (Some get higher ratings just because they are beautiful and peaceful even without all the extras).
