Happy Canada Day at Chutes Park! - July 2019
Terrain: Thick bush of cedars and pines as well as poplars and other deciduous trees. Good balance of sun and shade areas. Can hear the falls in the background from sites 90 to 96 which is very soothing at night.
Staff: Super friendly. Excellent staff.
Bathrooms: Very clean and has motion sensor lights on the outside of the toilets so you can see at night.
Shower: Only one, located in about the beginning of the park at the comfort station
Beach: A gravel beach at the bend in the river just below the falls. There are no lifeguards. Swimming is not permitted in any other area of the river within the park. There is a moving current in some places and no buoy lines so, you must be careful about how far out you go.
Outdoor Water Faucets: well placed through out the park. They look clean and new.
Hiking Trails: Twin Bridges Trail (6 km with 2 loops) There are multiple look outs and two bridges. There is even a set of Adirondack chairs and a little side table nestled on some rocks overlooking the falls.
