Terrain: Plenty of mixed trees of white pine, birch and hardwoods. Good balance of sun and shade areas. Many sites are close to the waters edge.
Staff: Personable and pleasant
Bathrooms: Clean, vault toilets
Shower: Yes, at the comfort station. Hot water. Clean.
Beach: Medium sized sandy beach with volley ball net
Outdoor Water Faucets: Not a lot but they are close by to all the sites because the park is small. Relatively easy to find.
Hiking Trails:
Lookout Trail 2.5 km (1.5 hours) Strenuous
This trail crosses rugged terrain, passes close to a kettle lake and leads to a spectacular lookout over the lake.
Cabin Trail 4km (2 hours) Strenuous
Named after an abandoned log cabin; this trail branches off the Lookout Trail after the lookout.
Hastings Heritage Trail
Lake St. Peter is the northern terminus of the Hastings Heritage Trail. Located two kilometers from the park, the trail is open year-round to hikers, cyclists, horseback riders, skiers, dogsledders, snowmobilers and recreational vehicle operators.

The park is located east of Algonquin Park. Approximately 34 km north of Bancroft on Highway 127 turn northeast and travel on Centre Road/Lake St. Peter Road for about 3 km. Turn south (right) onto access road at fork.
Signs For Directions To Park - Easy to see . Do not rely on Google's GPS unless you want to take longer to get there. Google doesn't want you to take the main highways and will take you down all the back roads.
